Local Hearts Foundation honors Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with Dinner Night at Mexihana's MLK

Last night was very special and held a lot of meaning for many people. Local Hearts Foundation hosted a special dinner event at Mexihana's Hibachi Grill on MLK Blvd in Long Beach. Bringing attention to Children's Cancer Awareness Month and to honor those affected by childhood cancer.

The event was hosted by The Hood Santa, also known as Tito Rodriguez, Executive Director of Local Hearts Foundation, and welcomed over 50 attendees, including grandparents, parents, siblings, uncles, and cousins of children with cancer.

The Chef's @mexihanasmlk prepared a delicious Mexican-inspired hibachi fusion cuisine, and owner/operator Manny Luzanilla delivered the best of his quality, top-notch cuisine.

The children played games and became artists while practicing spin art with Ms. Robn and her @studiopick_ Team. The children also received gifts of toys, popcorn, and desserts. Balloon decorations were made by and courtesy of @luxedesignco and @longbeachunitedd.

The event was generously sponsored by Lester & Monica Singer of The Singer Realty Group, who are always engaged in their community and support Local Hearts Foundation's mission to assist under-resourced families and children with their needs, while offering special opportunities to uplift and inspire their hearts.

Local Hearts Foundation would like to thank all of the exceptionally kind, caring, and helpful individuals who put their efforts into this special dinner night and made it a very fun night for the children and their loved ones.

The event was a success, and Local Hearts Foundation is grateful for the opportunity to have brought together the community to support families affected by childhood cancer.
